These trigger are very hardy. Usually not aggressive to other tank mates unless they are significantly smaller or introduced after the trigger. Males can be distinguished by the presence of a red tail which is absent in the female. Provide lots of swimming room and fast moving water. Feed three times per day- a diet of chopped clams, shrimp, squid and fish. Also offer vitamin enriched marine algae and prepared foods.
This fish will grow to a length of around 12 inches
