As with most groupers, the Blue Devil Grouper is an ambush predator that is secretive and will spend much of its time hiding, especially when first introduced to the aquarium. Over time, many specimens become bolder, even to the point of taking food from the aquarist's hand. Will eat small fish and crustaceans. Will grow up to 8 inches in size.
